One week ago, we began searching for our Beat Journalism topic in class. As the week went on I took the time to research the new development of High Point taking a more sustainable approach when it comes to Furniture Market. As I began reading more, I realized there is sustainable solutions all around the Triad.
Some of the sustainable options are seen through fashion, entertainment, business, and food. I have taken the time to research the different sustainable options in the Triad. There are a multitude of second hand stores opening in the area and incorporating new sales to promote more foot traffic.
This coming week I will be reaching out to Bekah Robinson the PR and Marketing coordinator of the Greensboro Science Center. The Greensboro Science Center focuses on sustainability and natural resources within the community. This will be a great place to start to learn more for both my first story and for future stories.
