For my story next story I have decided to do a Wakelet story. Since High Point Furniture Market just ended, I have chosen to do my story on decorating a home using all sustainable and recycled furniture. The average person spends about $8,000 on a one bedroom apartment. For my story I plan on breaking down each room of the apartment and giving sustainable and cost effective furniture.
Over break, I went home to New York. On the way back from my trip I spent a lot of time looking at the different billboards around Northern North Carolina. I thought it was very interesting and related to my last story, but there were about 4 different billboards highlighting the year of the trails.
While looking at different news going on right now I have seen a lot about daylight saving and the effects it has on health. I think this would make for an interesting story in seeing its effects in North Carolina.
Courtney, these ideas sound good, I am just confused about the initial one. When you say the average person spends $8000 on an apartment, do you mean the monthly rental fee? If that is the case, just research it more as that is a very high price for NC. I would think it is $2000 or less depending on bedroom, size, etc.
